Knowing your true worth.
April 17, 2012 in Blog
After chatting with Amanda Egan on twitter & putting myself down I decided to be honest about my past.
I was verbally abused in my 1st marriage.
I was made to feel worthless.
Originally I was going to do an anonymous post & Amanda aka @Mummy_Misfit, an amazing author of 2 published books, said she would publish my story on her blog if i’d like. To have such a lovely lady want to tell my story is great & I jumped at her offer.
I hope it may help someone else that maybe in a similar situation that I found myself in.
Thank you Amanda.

I think you are very brave to speak up to hel others and it shows how far you have come with your recovery – to be able to. I have written a bit about emtional abuse on my blog but don’t like to leave links on someone else’s and left comment over at Amanda’s. I wish you a wonderful future. X

Thank you for your kind words, I just felt it was time to try to help & if i’ve helped someone realise there is a ray of hope & they aren’t alone then it’s been worth reliving the emotions. x

Deciding that you want to share your past experience means that you are stronger and fierce now. I know there are women out there who are afraid to speak up because they think they’re alone. But now is the right time to stand up and fight! Continue to inspire us.

Read your shocking story. So glad you got away from that awful man. Shocked that the police didn’t do anything initially. Nice to hear your marriage, to your new man, is great.
