The Old Vicarage at Lorton.

April 9, 2012 in Blog, review

I was really lucky to win a 2 night break at The Old Vicarage in Lorton. Sadly due to other commitments I was unable to go but after having spoken to Jane, who owns The Old Vicarage was happy for me to give it to my niece & her partner.

Becky & Michael travelled up to The Lake District for the weekend in March & couldn’t have picked a better weekend, the weather was perfect.

Becky was so impressed she immediately wrote a review for Trip Advisor (read all the reviews here) :-

Hi Jane and Peter, Thank you for a wonderful stay at The Old Vicarage weekend of the 23rd March.
We stayed in room 3 and in a word AMAZING! The bed not only looked great but was very comfy. The attention to detail you pay is fantastic and really makes the whole experience extra special.
The setting is very nice and the scenery is breathtaking.
Jane, the tips you gave us for something to do was really good of you and made sure we had a lovely day.
The room was spotless.
Thanks again.
Rebecca and Michael.

After chatting to Becky & Michael they couldn’t rate their visit highly enough, nothing was too much trouble for Jane & Peter, there were bathrobes in the bedroom along with a bottle of champagne which they enjoyed lounging on the extremely comfortable 4 poster bed.

The hotel is in a lovely setting with amazing views. Jane gave them some ideas on where to go during the day & after they had enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast.

The Old Vicarage Lorton  have been selected by Theo Paphitis last year as part of his Small Business Sunday Event on Twitter.

The  Small Business Sunday Event for winners was held on Friday 30th March 2012 with Theo Paphitis & they were invited to attend the inaugural #SBS Winners Event in Edgbaston.
Unfortunately Jane and Peter were unable to attend the event as they had guests in, so they sent daughter Kate to represent The Old Vicarage at the event.

Kate recieves a certificate from Theo on behalf of The Old Vicarage Country Guest House and gives Theo some of Jane's delicous home-made chocolate chip shortbread for the journey home!

You can find The Old Vicarage on Facebook & Twitter.

If your looking for a getaway in the Lake District then take a look at The Old Vicarage, you WONT be disappointed.
