Malta …….. Quiet & Sleepy or Party Isle? LowCostHolidays.com show’s you.
When I think of Malta I think of peace & quiet & a place for “oldies” to go to. But I’ve been proved wrong, it’s a massive party Island.
The Maltese archipelago includes the islands of Malta, Gozo, Comino, Comminotto and Filfla.
It has a history of colonial control spanning centuries.
Located south of the Italian island of Sicily between Europe and North Africa, it has been occupied by Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and latterly France and Britain. ……. Does this sound like the Malta you know? Well read on & find out about “party” Malta.
Malta is only about a 3hr flight away (depending on where you travel from) as for the climate well winters are wet and windy. Summers are virtually guaranteed to be dry and hot. Sunshine hours total around 3,000 per year (one of the highest results in Europe), from an average above five hours of sunshine per day in December to an average above 12 hours in July. Sounds good to me!
Malta has gorgeous beaches & a lot of history for you culture vultures. The island is only 122 sq miles. They speak Maltese & English (which is good for us brits who are too lazy to learn a different language!) It’s easy to get round Malta as they have a newish bus service which appears to be good, but cars & bicycles can be hired (the bikes are for the energetic folks!).
Now for a change of image. Low Cost Holidays .com show’s us the other side to Malta. Low Cost Holidays .com are the UK’s number one tour operator for Malta holidays!
I can’t quote any prices as they have so many offers on but just having a quick look they have holiday’s from as little as £4.54 per person per night!!
Lowcostholidays.com opened my eyes to Malta’s “other” side. Malta is certainly an island with 2 faces, it’s certainly giving some of the already established party islands a run for their money. It’s a fantastic place for the younger travellers aswell.
The nightclubs on the Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo are some of the best open-air clubs in Europe.
The hot sun, beaches and international DJ stars make Malta clubbing holidays the perfect choice for this summer.
There’s R&B, Hip Hop, Indie and Rock all playing in the pumping bars as well as drink promotions, local beer and cocktails.
The main Maltese night life district is Paceville (pronounced “pach-a-vil”), just north of St. Julian’s. Young Maltese (as young as high school-age) come from all over the island to let their hair down, hence it gets very busy here, especially on weekends (also somewhat on Wednesdays, for midweek drinking sessions). Almost all the bars and clubs have free entry so you can wander from venue to venue until you find something that suits you. The bustling atmosphere, cheap drinks, and lack of cover charges makes Paceville well worth a visit. The nightlife crowd becomes slightly older after about midnight, when most of the youngsters catch buses back to their towns to meet curfew. Paceville is still going strong until the early hours of the morning, especially on the weekends.
