Tasty, Tasty, I’m very very Tasty

Tasty, Tasty, I’m very very Tasty,

well I am according to the mosquitoes & the horseflies who seem to think I am!

I’ve looked up the definition of Tasty in the dictionary & this is what it say’s:

1. Having a pleasing flavor; savory.
2. Having or showing good taste; tasteful.
Well the little blighters seem to certainly think i’m both of those! Even covered in insect repellent they got me!
I’m highly allergic to both but especially horseflies & always need a dose of penicillin, last week I became their evening snack yet again & despite my normal dose of penicillin (my doctor gives me extra so I can start them asap to try to stop the major problems!) but sadly the penicillin had little of no effect & I ended up back at the doctors who then doubled the does, banned me from working & told me to rest it, elevated with ice packed round it.
Ok the 1st problem, I work for myself so not working means no money! 2nd problem, when it’s elevated it’s ok, but when you try to put it down to the floor again I’m doubled up in pain! I did keep it cool though & that did help as it stopped me scratching at it & potentially spreading the poison.
I was taking 4ooomg per day plus my anti-histamine (which are prescription only strong ones!) so 13 tablets a day! Nice, I think I rattled.
I managed to work, do the shopping & then assessed the situation before heading off to football, well it was the 1st match of the season so I couldn’t miss it could I? Plus we won 3-0!!!
By Monday the swelling was going down & a lovely big blister was there, sitting, doing nothing, just being annoying!  But the tablets were making me feel so ill, I had to take them an hour before I ate but by the end of the hour my insides were in knot’s & that lasted for well over an hour after I’d eaten. So I cut them down & thankfully I’ve felt better since.
As we’re away next week I’ve got to start taking my low dose now so it’s in my system just incase I get bitten & I then wont react too badly.
I know you’re meant to finish the prescribed course but I knew that I couldn’t carry on with them for too long or they actually wouldn’t work so had to cut them down.
So today I woke up & the blister had finally burst, so now to keep it clean & fingers crossed it wont look too bad when we go away! My big problem is we’re watching cricket each day & that’s where I get most of my bites so it should be fun!!
Ok now for the gruesome bit a few pictures!
