Review:- Dr. Beckmann Travel Wash

I don’t know about you but I try not to do much washing whilst on holiday but if I do I end up either using soap or shampoo, admittedly it’s only swim stuff or undies that get washed, unless someone has managed to spill their dinner down them & then it’s just a quick sponge to make sure the mess has gone more than anything. Well soap & shampoo are a thing of the past!
The lovely people at Dr. Breckmann kindly sent me 2 tubes of their Dr. Bekmann Travel Wash to try & being generous I gave 1 to my neighbour to take away with her & kept 1 for myself for our travels.
This is what Julie had to say about it. “We used the wash once whilst down in Padstow and big thumbs up, Dr. Beckmann Travel Wash ashed items (swim stuff mainly) really well, removing all traces of the sea and everything was left with a nice fresh smell, would take with us and use again.
I took the other tube to Corfu with us & really put it to the test. The water there is so hard we couldn’t even get the soap to lather up so I didn’t hold out much hope of seeing any bubbles with this!
I carefully chucked the clothes into the bath & squeezed maybe about a tablespoon of Dr Beckmann Travel Wash under the running hot water tap. I was pleasantly surprised to see bubbles appearing, wow something does lather with the water! Maybe we should’ve used that instead of normal shampoo! It left all the clothes smelling lovely & fresh. I didn’t use much so it’s now been left in the suitcase ready for next years travels.
Dr. Bekmann Travel Wash is available online at www.dr-beckmann.co.uk RRP is £1.49. Dr. Beckmann Travel Wash is also at Asda & Wilkinson’s stores, prices may vary.
Wash your clothes anytime, anywhere.
Dr. Beckmann Travel Wash is an absolute holiday essential, whether it’s a family holiday abroad or a business trip, never leave home without it.
You never know when you’re going to have an accident and spill something down your clothes, and if it’s a sauce that can stain you will want to get it out straight away. Dr. Beckmann Travel Wash is a concentrated washing gel, which can be used to hand wash your garments in any type of water or apply the gel directly to the stained area for on the spot stain removal.
Keeping your family’s holiday clothes looking bright and your business shirts looking clean and smelling fresh whilst away from home has never been easier.
Directions for use:
- Dissolve one or two teaspoons of travel wash gel into a basin of hot or cold water and then hand wash clothes.
- Rinse clothes thoroughly and dry as usual.
- For heavily soiled clothes apply gel directly to the affected area, scrub lightly and then rinse thoroughly before drying.
Having looked through Dr. Beckmann’s website I was amazed at just how many products they do, from stain removal to cleaning products.

I’ve never taken washing powder or anything away with me before but this product sounds small and neat and useful.
