Review:- Smoke Relief Electronic Cigarettes

October 8, 2012 in review

Hanging my head in shame, I’m admitting to you all that I am a smoker! I’m not proud of the fact that I smoke, I quit for 3 months & then stupidly started again.

When I was offered to try the Smoke Relief electronic cigarettes  I jumped at the chance. Now don’t get me wrong these are not a quick fix to quitting smoking but they are an aid. You still need will power!

I personally didn’t miss the nicotine, but I did miss the “what do I do with my hands” especially after a meal. It’s all about breaking the habit, that’s the hardest.

You must have heard about e-cigarette’s before, but here’s an insight into e-cigarettes.
They are battery-powered devices that give you inhaled doses of glycerine vapour mixed with nicotine Smoke relief gives you a choice  of seven flavours. Which are Tobacco, Menthol, Peach, Vanilla, Apple, Cherry, and Cappuccino flavours. They also do boxes of mixed cartridges (apple, cherry, cappuccino, peach, vanilla) so you can sample the other flavours.
I was sent a mixed box & Tobacco flavours.

The kit costs just £29.95 at the moment and contains:

- Deluxe Smoke Relief Charger Box
- 2 x Lithium-ion cigarette batteries
- USB cable and charger
- 5 x 18mg tobacco cartridges – equivalent to 100 cigarettes
- 5 x cartridges of your chosen flavour and strength – equivalent to 100 cigarettes

What did I think?

It’s easy to set up & the charger box takes about 4 hours to charge from a USB or wall socket. A cigarette battery takes about 2-2.5 hours to charge in the Charger Box. It lasts about a week. 5-7 drags equates to approximately 1 normal cigarette.
The tobacco flavour was the 1st I tried & I have to say it did taste odd, it wasn’t like real tobacco, it had a sweet after taste which did take a bit of getting used to but now after 3 weeks I will openly admit it’s growing on me.
Now I’m not a fan of Cherry or Cappuccino so I haven’t tried those but I have tried the Apple & the Peach, the Apple is my favourite as I found the Peach a little too sweet.
I’m really pleased I tried the ecigarettes & I do feel they will help me to finally quit once & for all.
The Smoke Relief make no claims that the ecigarette will stop you smoking but it will help you to cut down & maybe it will lead you to finally quitting the deadly weed.

What about the smoke? Isn’t that still harmful?

It’s not actually smoke, it’s vaporised vegetable glycerine. There is no cancerous tar in the ecigarettes. It’s completely harmless, glycerine is similar to sugar & it get’s absorbed in your lungs & metabolised by your body.

They are completely safe and are therefore legal to use in the workplace and public places such as restaurants.  But that doesn’t guarantee you an easy passage when using them, I know when ecigarettes were first on the market as chap at the football got “removed” from the ground cos he refused to stop using it!

They also sell them on planes, but then they also tell you that you can’t use them on the aircraft!

Many of you will have heard about the “Bomb” on the M6 Toll, which turned out to be someone using an ecigarette, sneakily, so be warned you are not above being questioned about what you are using!
There is no smell, so you won’t reek of cigarette smoke and you won’t have smokers breath!

I was sent the Smoke Relief ecigarettes for the purpose of the review but the opinions are honest & completely my own.
