What is a PAT Dog I hear you say.

Well every week, around 5,000 PAT dogs and cats visit thousands of people in hospitals, hospices, special needs schools and care homes around the country, bringing love and friendship when it is needed most.

Holly has been visiting patients with physical and mental health problems as a PAT dog for six years.

Recently, she visited a girl in a coma at Leicester Royal Infirmary. As Holly cuddled in, she moved her arm to rest on Holly and opened her eyes. This was the first day of her recovery, and her first spoken word was “Holly.”
