Day 6
Up early today although we got up early yesterday as our phones changed times to GMT & added an hour so we were up an hour early, we wondered why it was quiet by the pool!! I’ll admit it was my fault, I even changed the time on the alarm clock to the same as the phones as I thought it had gone funny on me! WHOOPS!

The Sheraton prides itself on the comfort of the beds & I have to say we were not disappointed in the slightest, boy this is the best hotel bed we’ve had in a long time. We kept the air con running all night as this helps to keep the mosquitos at bay, which totally love me, we did ask them to spray the room as we had a few in there when we arrived, but also we plugged in the mossie killer & day 2 we’ve not seen anymore.

Finally we arrived in The Gambia & it was cloudy! Cloudy how dare it, for goodness sake we’d travelled all that way for sun & got blinking cloud! Ok it was warm & very clammy but still it was CLOUDY, I needed to see the sun!!!
The coach eventually set off, we were really lucky & our cases were about the 4th off the plane so we got out the airport really quickly, it was just everyone else that seemed to take ages to get through.
The Journey … & the adventure begins!

Tuesday 20th April 2012.
So we headed off at about 6:45am. to BHX for our flight & on checking in were told my hand luggage bag was bigger than Thomas Cook allowed! What??? Every other airline allows that size bag, it’s a standard size cabin bag but no Thomas Cook decide to make theirs smaller , ok so we didn’t actually read the dimensions on the tickets but didn’t think it was a problem.
