Why do I never realise!???

A week of headaches, a stupid tickley cough these are the symptoms but I NEVER realise until I get the pain in my ear & throat, sometimes it’s a bad taste in my mouth but usually the ear & throat. Yep it’s the start of another bout of tonsillitis. Oh the joy’s but thankfully to a nice doctor 10+ yrs ago who wouldn’t take my tonsils out I’ve always got a supply of penicillin with me so I can start them immediately without having to wait for an appointment, which with our doctors is usually about 2 weeks!!
I also have a supply of them as I’m susceptible to insect bites & have a really bad reaction to them but that’s another blog post!!
Fingers crossed I have caught this early enough to not cause me too many major problems (fingers crossed!)

Can anyone help?
I’ve got some Blue Stilton but we don’t eat it …………. I brought it for Christmas but it didn’t happen!
Although it’s got a use by date on it surely as it already has mould in it how long before I need to throw it out?
Mine hasn’t got any external mould on it but i’m not sure if it’s still safe to eat as the sell by date has passed!
Has anyone got a stamp?

Ok as with most of the UK we’re having horrific strong winds & it’s causing massive damage all around.
Trees falling onto trucks, fences blowing down, we’ve had rubbish flying all over our road due to the refuse collection being 3 day late!
When it’s rained it’s blooming well rained.
In all this these have survived!
These are the apples still attached tightly to my neighbours tree!
Has someone super glued them on to the tree?
How have they not blown off?
Nothing has been safe, I very nearly tied some string to Crunchie to stop her blowing away!!

A very Happy & Healthy New Year.
We’ve had great times, we’ve had rough times, we’ve had massive high’s & some rotten low’s.
We’ve had births, we’ve had deaths.
Everything that has happened throughout the last year prepares us for the future.
We will always be sad at deaths & joyful at the miracle of birth.
I will forever be thankful to my family & all my friends either in the real world or in the virtual world for being the people they are.
I am truly blessed to know each & everyone of you.

It it just superstition?

SUPERSTITIONS
I’ve always been told that you must never wash clothes on New Years Day as you will wash someone from your family.
I don’t know where this came from but I know when I moved to Birmingham no-one seemed to have heard of it.
Is this just a Leicester superstition or is it actually just a family superstition?
I know one thing though I DO NOT intend to do any washing on
Jan 1st!
My machine is on now & no more will be done until at least the 2nd Jan.
Another along the same lines is you are not supposed to clean your windows for the same reason, but i’m not sure if this is my own invention to avoid cleaning them or is actually from the past! I’ll stay away from any sort of cleaning apart from personal hygiene cleaning just to be on the safe side as i’m very attached tot he family i’ve got & would like to keep them with me for a s long as I can!
So as we say goodbye to 2011 & hello to 2012 I will be safe in the knowledge I have not broken the superstition’s in any shape or form!
